 3 - 4 hour Workshops

Sideways Gloves - In 3 hours we can do a child's glove.  Given 1 more hour, we can complete an adults glove.  See the pattern page for a picture of the gloves.

Mitered Pillow - The pillow teaches how to make full and partial mitered squares.  It contains all the skill you need to move up to a mitered vest or sweater.

Fair Isle Hat - Learn 2 handed fair isle technique on a small scale.  Gain the confidence you need to tackle a larger fair isle project.

Heel Variations - Time permitting, we will work on 3 - 4 different sock heels.

Cast on, Bind off - Learn several ways to cast on and bind off and the pros and cons of each method.

Increases/decreases - There are as many different ways to increase and decrease as there are to cast on and bind off.  Learn several different methods so you can choose for

        yourself which is best for your project.

Knitting Left to right - Some people call it knitting backwards.  I strongly dislike this term as only a lefty can.  Being able to knit and purl left to right has many advantages. 

Fix Mistakes - Many new knitter's fix mistakes by ripping out and starting over.  Lot's of mistakes can be fixed without ripping.  Learn what they are and how to fix them.  We will also

    discuss some problems that can only be fixed by ripping.  

Classes - Classes are taught in 3 - 4 sessions of 2 hours.  Due to the size of the project, these cannot be completed in one class.

Design Your Own Top Down Sweater - Choose any yarn you wish to make this one of a kind sweater.  You can also choose sleeve length, cuff and collar style, and a few basic

     patterns. 

Advanced Top Down Sweater - This sweater is an advanced version of the Design Your Own Top Down Sweater Class.  We will be working with more stitch patterns.  This class moves along at a faster pace, so we ask that students have taken and completed the Design Your Own Top Down Sweater Class.
